Fees

The total cost across six years of MBBS tuition, hostel, food, and living expenses runs between INR 35 lakh and INR 38 lakh. That is substantially less than private medical college fees in India, where just the tuition can exceed that figure in the first two years alone.

Cost Component Approximate Annual Amount
Tuition Fee USD 4,000 to USD 5,000
University Registration (One-time Only) USD 200 to USD 300
Hostel Accommodation USD 500 to USD 800
Mess and Food USD 600 to USD 900
Medical Insurance USD 150 to USD 200
Estimated Annual Total USD 5,500 to USD 7,200

These figures are approximate. Exchange rates shift, and university fees can be revised year to year. Confirm current rates with the admissions office before committing. No donation or capitation fee is charged at any stage.

Indian students need a Category “D” student visa to study in Russia. Here is how that process works:

  • Get the official invitation letter from Chuvash State University initially nothing else can happen without it.
  • Apply at the Russian Embassy in New Delhi or the Consulates in Mumbai or Chennai. You will need the visa application form, invitation letter, valid passport.
  • The visa is issued for one year and renewed each year after that. On arrival in Russia, you have seven working days to register with the local migration office. The university handles this with you are not sorting it out alone.
  • Students who plan to stay in Russia after graduation, for postgraduate study or otherwise, should speak to the university’s international affairs office about a residence allowance appropriately before the MBBS ends. It is not complicated, but it does require planning ahead.
